Ken Babbs is an American author, screenwriter, and former member of the Merry Pranksters, a group of individuals associated with the psychedelic movement in the 1960s. He was a close friend of author Ken Kesey and played a key role in organizing the Acid Tests, a series of parties that combined music, light shows, and psychedelic drugs.
Babbs is also known for his writings, including the novel “Who Shot the Water Buffalo?” and his memoir “Cronies: A Book of Buddies.” In addition to his literary work, he has worked as a screenwriter and actor, with credits including the film “ZigZag” and the TV show “Sesame Street.”
